Privacy notice
What we collect when you ask us to find someone, why we need it, who else sees it, and how to ask us to delete it.

The short version
We collect what we need to find the person you are looking for and to call you back. We do not sell it. We run no advertising on this site. We do use Google Analytics to count visits, and you can turn that off. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form on this site, plus the basic records any website keeps.
When you fill in a form, we collect your first and last name, your email address, and your phone number. We also collect what you tell us about the person in custody: their name, their date of birth or age, their country of birth, where you think they are being held, and anything you add in your own words, which people often use for an A-number, a booking number, or the city where it happened.
Our web host keeps a short server log of requests, which includes the IP address your phone or computer is using and the page you asked for. That log is not connected to your form.
This site uses Google Analytics to count how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets a cookie on your device and tells Google the page you are on, your rough location from your IP address, and what kind of device you are using. It is not told your name, your phone number, or anything you typed into a form, and we never ask Google to match it to you. You can block it: turn on "Do Not Track" or a tracker blocker in your browser, or install Google's opt-out add-on. Blocking it changes nothing about the search or the bond.
The site stores one other thing on your device, a note that you closed the "see this page in Spanish" bar, so it does not keep reappearing. That note stays on your device and never reaches us.
Why we collect it
The details about the person in custody are what the county, federal, and immigration systems require to search. A name alone often is not enough, which is why we ask for a date of birth and a country of birth. Your name and phone number are how we reach you with what we find. Your email is a backup when a phone call does not connect.
If you decide to move forward with a bond, the same information starts your file. If you do not, the search was free and stays free.
Who else sees it
Our team. Beyond that, four companies handle the data because they run the pieces of this site:
- Vercel hosts the website and keeps the server logs.
- Neon runs the database where your form is stored.
- Formspree delivers your form to us as an email.
- Google Analytics counts visits to the pages. It sees the page and the device, never your form.
They process it for us and are not allowed to use it for anything of their own.
We will also hand over information when the law requires it, such as a subpoena or a court order.
What we do not do
We do not sell your information. We do not rent or trade it. We do not use it to advertise to you, and we do not pass it to data brokers or lead buyers. There are no advertising trackers and no social media pixels anywhere on this site. The one measurement script we run is Google Analytics, described above, and nothing you type into a form is sent to it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it to do the search, to service a bond, and to meet the record-keeping rules that apply to licensed bail agents. When it is no longer needed for those reasons, we delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can ask us to stop calling. You do not have to give a reason, and asking costs nothing.

If you are in California or Nevada
California law treats some of what we collect, including immigration status, as sensitive personal information. We use it only for the search and the bond, which is the reason you gave it to us, and never for anything else.
Nevada law requires us to give you an address for opting out of the sale of your information. We do not sell it, but the address is the same one above: contact@abcjail.com, or call (800) 299-9981.
We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging a bond. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If a form has been filled in by a child, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this notice we will change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so on this page rather than quietly editing it.
